The Beauchamp Childcare centre is split into 3 areas, along with the Sensory Room and ICT Room. Busy Bees 3 months – 2 years Busy Bees is our babies room, for little ones aged up to two years old and, like all our rooms, is a stimulating and safe environment for children to play and learn. OurĀ  Busy Bees enjoy at least a minimum of one worker to three children, but often it is more like one to one. There is a daily diary for news to pass between home and your child’s key worker. We seek to learn and complement the routine parents have at home, from breakfast through to the end of the afternoon. Busy Bees have their own kitchen, sterilising equipment and milk fridge. Busy Bees do all sorts of playful activities: malleable play, paint, drawing, construction toys, role play, dressing up, puppetry etc

You always reassure me and make me feel my son is having many quality experiences that he does not get at home – Parent
Ladybirds 2 – 3 years The Ladybirds at Beauchamp Childcare Centre are the two to three year olds exploring their life which is more and more exciting every day. With a minimum staff ration of one to every four children, there are always plenty of people to help your child’s key worker get the most out of their day. The Ladybirds spread their wings inside and outside, making great use of the safe and stimulating outdoor play facilities. And being next door to the children’s bathroom is great for potty training. They love the book corner, a relaxing and comfortable space to explore the world through books. Children see our staff finding out things in books; a great example keenly followed. There is a role play, table top games, technology and construction equipment, jigsaws and musical instruments galore. Butterflies 3 – 5 years The Butterflies room is home to your children blossoming, ready for life and ready for the new adventure of primary school and beyond. With a minimum ratio of one staff member to eight children aged three to five, the emphasis is on learning through purposeful play. There is a role play area, and a reading corner which is also the base for singing, story time and group discussions. In any week the Butterflies enjoy books, soft play, painting and other mark making, music and movement. They weigh, take photographs, climb, sign and measure. There are regular visits to the ICT Room. And once a week a dance teacher joins the children for a fun filled time. And the children know what they like best; so every day there is a children’s choice time with freedom to wander and play at will.
